Neighbours passing bowls of food along a communal table

Serving the Rivergate neighborhood since 2009

No one on this side of the river should skip dinner.

We're a volunteer-run food program feeding roughly 1,200 neighbors a week. Ninety-one cents of every dollar goes straight onto a plate.

What we run

Three programs, all staffed by neighbors. No paperwork, no means testing — if you're hungry, you eat.

Weekend Pantry

Groceries for 340 households every Saturday morning from the old fire hall on 6th.

After-School Meals

Hot dinners four nights a week for kids at three neighborhood schools.

Grow Lot

A half-acre community garden that supplies about a fifth of the produce we hand out.

A shared meal at the Rivergate Table long table

Ninety-one cents of every dollar lands on a plate.

The other nine keep the van running and the lights on.

Where your gift goes

"I came for a pantry box after a layoff. Two years later I'm the one loading the van on Saturdays."— Marisol T., volunteer coordinator
