About

A small studio, on purpose.

Small enough that the person you meet on the consult call is the person building your site — and the person who picks up when you ring later.

Why Atlas exists

My dad runs a contracting company. Framing, remodels, the occasional deck — the kind of business where almost every job arrives through somebody who knows somebody.

A while back he decided he finally needed a website. The agency he called quoted him just under ten thousand dollars for five pages, plus a monthly fee to keep it online. He took it seriously. He is careful with money and he assumed that number meant something.

He showed me the proposal before he signed it. I built the site myself over a couple of weekends instead. It cost him a domain name, it works on a phone, and it still brings in a handful of quote requests a month.

What stayed with me was how close he came to paying. He is very good at his job, but there is no reference price for a website the way there is for lumber or a truckload of gravel — so he had no way to know that quote was out of line. That is the part that is unfair.

So Atlas is priced the way I wish that agency had priced my dad: one number, agreed before anything starts, and the finished site belongs to you. No retainer holding your own website hostage, and no invoice you need a translator to read.

"A website should work as hard as the person who owns it."

What we hold to

Four commitments that decide how every project runs — and the reason clients send us their neighbours.

Clear direction

You'll always know what stage the project is in, what we need from you, and when it ships.

Built to standard

Accessible markup, fast pages, and clean code — the same quality we'd build for a large brand.

A price you can check

One number, agreed before anything starts, and an itemised list of what it covers. If you don't need something, we take it off.

Built for trades

Contractors, plumbers, electricians, landscapers — businesses that win work on word of mouth and need a site that backs it up.
